Mission

The Alzheimer's Institute is dedicated to each and every individual assisting
in the care and understanding of persons with Alzheimer's disease
and related Dementias. The aspiration is to provide fundamental information
to improve the quality of life for the unfortunate diagnosed and for the family,
friends and caregivers involved with this disease.

The Institute
Helping You to Set the Standard for Dementia Care

The Alzheimer's Institute specializes in training caregivers to make the most of their time with Alzheimer patients and their families. By focusing on priorities in organization and proven techniques of dementia-sensitive communication, you can achieve a positive, enjoyable, and efficient home and clinical atmosphere.  Because of our ability to develop strategies of lasting change for virtually any situation, regardless of the circumstances, the Alzheimer's Institute is sought after by organizations that have attained admirable performance, as well as those that are seriously challenged. We will travel to your facility, agency, or home to assess, design and implement the best plan for your circumstances, resources and outcomes. As individualized as each program is, we will always seek to incorporate the following goals:

For Organizations:

A more productive and cohesive work team whose relationships are centered in trust, healthy communication, and professionalism.
Defining a balance between personal and professional life in a field that requires good health, habits, and judgment.
Revolutionary staff education tools that will enable them to consistently perform with understanding and enthusiasm.
Improvement or development of consistent processes.
Renewed passion for the critical role your organization plays in the lives of patients and their families.

For Family Caregivers: we will provide a truly customized program to include all family members involved in the care your loved one.

Caregivers of Alzheimer's patients can never have enough information and emotional support. No one understands this as thoroughly as we do. Ms. Jo Huey, MSS, the Director of Alzheimer's Institute LLC, is a veteran in the professional care of persons with dementia. While she is committed to the task of helping organizations around the nation improve the quality of their care for patients and staff, the balance of her professional life is spent working directly with Alzheimer's patients and their families.

The Alzheimer’s Institute does not minimize the devastation of the disease, for that is impossible. Instead, Ms. Huey has assembled a comprehensive tool that allows continuous, positive interaction that result in no longer experiencing the constant struggles involved with victims of dementia. This tool, is referred to as The Ten Absolutes. It is simple, it is easy, and it is detailed in a well written book that can be read in an hour. The Ten Absolutes is the first and only guide which makes positive communication possible and therefore, is truly revolutionary. The alternative without this tool, is continuous arguing, leading to frustration and depression, and eventually no interaction. There is help and hope for both the person with the disease and especially their families. The Ten Absolutes sound basic, but that is why they are successful, they are a definition of simplicity. They really work and families and organizations nationally love it and search Jo out to thank her everyday. This is something unique that does bring peace back from chaos, turns tears into smiles, and ordinary struggles into loving memories.
